Danica Jenelle Jackson

Director, Educator, Actor, Entertainer, Artist

Danica (she/her) is an award-winning director and teaching artist, currently serving as Assistant Director of Performance at North Carolina State University. Specializations and focuses lie in acting, dialect coaching, devised theatre, stage movement and community-based theatre. At NCSU, Danica teaches Theory and Practice of Acting, Advanced Acting, Introduction to Theatre, Period Styles Acting, Shakespeare in Performance (Study Abroad in Prague, CR), Performing Shakespeare, and multiple additional workshops every year. Danica holds an MFA in Directing from the University of Memphis, a Masters of Science in Education in Interdisciplinary Arts from Nova Southeastern University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, concentration in Directing, from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

As an educator, she is passionate about mentorship, experiential learning, diverse representation and thoughtful experimentation in a safe and challenging environment.
